SetShift

PURPOSE ^

Determines the shifting distance necessary to reach the same

SYNOPSIS ^

function [dx,shiftedparams]=SetShift(mf,RPobsx)

DESCRIPTION ^

Determines the shifting distance necessary to reach the same
horizontal position as the observation in the current dimension.
Besides it calculates the shifted values of the parameters.
Hereby only the abscissas are new, and these values are
stored in a new field of the structure describing the membership
function. This field is called shiftedparams.
The reference point of the set should be determined in advance.
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Parameters
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
mf - original membership function structure
RPobsx - abscissa of the reference point of the observation
mf - the structure describing the membership function
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
 Returned values
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
dx - shifting distance necessary to reach the same
horizontal position as the observation in the current
                 dimension.
shiftedparams - the shifted values of the parameters (abscissas of the
                 characterisic points)
